I wish he did. But I'm pretending this is what it looks like when he illustrates flora of the Zelda universe.

Lunar Boy and Beer!
The opening for Lunar Boy gallery's Beer group show is coming up on August 14th and I've got work featured!
I had a great time creating this guy and an especially great time painting the frame to go with.
Also, I live in Texas now. That is all.

Striking Out Stroke, and more.
I've been creating these spot illustrations for a monthly newsletter called News in Health, published by the NIH. The current issue and back issues are here. The topics are of course all health related. My first challenge was to delicately illustrate Bipolar Disorder and Stroke.
Major Ups and Downs (bipolar disorder)
Strike Out Stroke (stroke)
"Too Young for Hot Flashes?" (primary ovarian insufficiency)
"Fun Summer Days" (summer health)

Nick Cave (Not That Nick Cave!)
So I've just been turned on to one of the most colorful and creative artists working today, Nick Cave.
His soundsuits are colorful and from another planet. From the descriptions of his soundsuits, I'm supposed to be hearing them. But I can't help but fall in love with their visual splendor. They're just so playful and take me to a world I want to be in.
Here's some of the suits and do yourself a favor, go and look at this video that features a look at some of the creation and movement of the suits, not to mention a thorough slideshow.

From Wikipedia:
Nick Cave (born 1959 in central Missouri, USA) is an American fabric sculptor, dancer, and performance artist. He is best known for his Soundsuits: wearable fabric sculptures that are bright, whimsical, and other-worldly. He also trained as a dancer with Alvin Ailey. He resides in Chicago and is director of the graduate fashion program at School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

Fallen Queen Monday - RuPaul's Drag Race finale Extravaganza!
So, the long awaited finale to RuPaul's Drag Race is tonight. I'm sure they'll post it in full on logo.com, like they have been, but I for one can't wait until tomorrow! The preview looks very exciting.
I've been busy whipping up the girls. We'll start with my most recent drawing. It's the sketch of the final 3! Good luck Tyra, Raven and Jujubee! Don't fuck it up!
Next, we have some catching up to do!
First up, it's Tatianna. Princess Tati was finally dethroned on Episode 9 - The Diva Awards
Then, the first two ladies to go, were Shangela on Episode 1 - Gone with the Window
Annnnd, From Atlanta, Georgia, it's Nicole Paige Brooks. She packed her bags on Episode 2 - Starrbootylicious.
Only one more drawing to go! Going to wrap this series up with the final 3 illustration you see above. It's been a fun ride ladies! (and gentlemen too).
