Nick Cave (Not That Nick Cave!)
So I've just been turned on to one of the most colorful and creative artists working today, Nick Cave.
His soundsuits are colorful and from another planet. From the descriptions of his soundsuits, I'm supposed to be hearing them. But I can't help but fall in love with their visual splendor. They're just so playful and take me to a world I want to be in.
Here's some of the suits and do yourself a favor, go and look at this video that features a look at some of the creation and movement of the suits, not to mention a thorough slideshow.

He is best known for his Soundsuits: wearable fabric sculptures that are bright, whimsical, and other-worldly. He also trained as a dancer with Alvin Ailey. He resides in Chicago and is director of the graduate fashion program at School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
